Celebrity Watch Style File – Panerai Watch Style

Panerai Watch StyleI love my Panerai and I am always thinking of how to style it.  I even gave it an update when I added a new band.  What’s so great about the Panerai is that it really is a watch that can be worn by anyone and can go anywhere and the price point is fantastic.

So, I decided that I wanted to start a new feature called Celebrity Watch Style File, which will feature different watch brands that celebs wear, different movies that watches were worn in and what is trending in the celeb world of watches.

I could start with Rolex, but that’s too obvious, and since I have the Panerai, I thought that would be a great choice!

Rolex and Wimbledon – Tradition, Tennis and Time Keeping

WimbledonRoger Federer might be wearing a Rolex watch and the official tennis face of Rolex and Rolex might be the official timekeeper of Wimbledon, but Roger Federer is no longer wearing that Rolex watch on the hallowed grass courts of Wimbledon in 2013.

Roger Federer was beat in the second round by the number 115-ranked Ukrainian, who up to now, no one had ever even heard of.  Well, now we have, and the question I want to know is this, did Roger’s Rolex lose anytime during this 4 setter.

Richard Mille RM 038 Tourbillon – The Fastest & Lightest Watch On Earth

Richard Mille RM038 TourbillonWhat would it be like to own the fastest and lightest watch on earth? There are several stars, and most especially star athletes that know.  As I was researching another article, I came across the Richard Mille RM 038 Tourbillon.  It had a strange familiarity to me, and I couldn’t quite place it, but I knew I had crossed paths with this piece of fabulousness before.

Then I realized it was another I had written long ago and far away about the five watches that no man should ever own.  Not because they should really never be owned, but because they were too special to be owned or possessed.  This was the first time I had run across the Richard Mille RM 038 Tourbillon and what stuck out to me was that Nadal had worn it when he won Wimbledon.

I write a lot of articles, so what isn’t surprising is that I didn’t remember that I had written this article, but that I haven’t repeated any content yet, now THAT is surprising, but this watch bears repeating, it is just that phenomenal.

And the Oscar for the Best Watch Goes To

Oscar for Best WatchYou’ve got to love the Oscar’s. The pomp and circumstance as the actors parade up and down the red carpet, stopping at just the right time for pictures from the crowd and paparazzi.  Showing their dresses and jewels, tuxes and shoes off to a tee.  As if they have trained their whole careers for this one moment.

Of course, we all know they did spend that whole day getting ready for that one moment in the spotlight of borrowed time, because we know no one gets up looking that fabulous. And fabulous they looked.  I gave out Diamond Awards on The Diamond Buyer for Best Jewelry for the red carpet yesterday, and today I want to give out Watch Awards for best watches on the red carpet at the Oscars in 2013.
