Over the past twenty years, I have helped countless people purchase the luxury watch of their dreams. Just like any other luxury item, the luxury watch industry has it’s own unique network. My passion for watches has helped me navigate this network. It has also allowed me to develop my own. It is through my network…Details
As we continue on our road down the ABC’s of watch brands, today we are exploring Breguet. I decided that instead of looking at this Swiss brand with words, we would look at it with pictures in the form of an Infographic. I love Infographics and have done several others. I encourage you to share this timeline, I just ask that you give credit to where credit is due!Details
To me there is nothing more beautiful than a pocket watch, and I sometimes wish I lived during the days when men wore pocket watches on chains and hung them in their pockets. I think pocket watches are elegant and beautiful, especially when they are well made and in fabulous vintage condition.
I have to admit that I don’t see a lot of pocket watches come across my desk as a watch buyer, but I did get to see the most fabulous pocket watch I believe Jonathan’s Watch Buyer has ever owned to date. A Patek Philippe made for N. Matson & Co. in Chicago 18 kt. Gold pocket watch.Details
How can you NOT love a watch that has an orange lightning bolt for a second hand? The Rolex Milgauss is such a fine watch. Here’s what’s so cool about it. It not only looks fantastic, but it really is a neat watch with a very interesting history. I bought my Milgauss because I loved the heft of the watch and the way it looked. I’ll be honest and admit that I knew nothing about the science behind the watch when I purchased the watch. I owned this watch for about 2 months when a customer begged me to buy it off my wrist. Will I buy another one? Absolutely.Details
The three-finger rule, which I made up by the way, is to see if your bracelet is in good shape or not. Now, I didnt make up the way to see if your watch bracelet is in good shape, but I did make up the name, the three-finger rule.Details
Like many of the watches in the Rolex line, the Yacht-Master has undergone some changes and Rolex now has the Yacht-Master and the Yacht-Master II out. Each watch stands on its own merits however, like all the other Rolex watches you will run into the Yacht-Master line doesn’t have quite the history of the other Rolex models.Details
Sometimes I am honored by a watch that whether I actually get to purchase it or not, I get to own it for a few hours or day. The Omega De Ville Co-Axial Skeleton Limited Edition was one such watch. Imagine this watch with the box, papers and warranty card.Details
Lately the watches that have come across my desk have been so gorgeous I want to buy them all for my wife, and myself but alas, my wallet and my business don’t work that way. Most of the watches that I buy go into our vault here at work and stay there for months before they make into a new wrist or are sold on eBay.
Sometimes they are traded with other watch dealers, which is always great, depending on what the trade is for, but this beauty is one of those watches that when it comes in, any watch dealer is thrilled for a few reasons.
1. It’s a relatively new model
2. It’s a midsize ladies model
3. It’s only a couple of years old and in excellent condition
4. It’s rose gold and stainless
5. It’s scattered diamonds around the bezel
When it comes to buying a Rolex, you can’t go wrong with any of the models, but if you want to get your feet wet with Rolex without breaking the bank, the Rolex Air-King is the watch to get. The Rolex Air-King has been around since 1945 and it is a variant of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Model. This is one of those watches that is classic in its style and simple in its design. It is a timeless model and also has an important history.Details
